Taylor Dukes

Taylor Dukes is an Austin, Texas native currently living in the Fort Worth area with her husband Ryan and their two sons. Taylor has her own private practice where she sees patients, and created and runs a comprehensive health reset program called Get Your Gut Right.
 
Taylor attended traditional nursing school at Texas Christian University, go frogs! After TCU, she went on medical missions trips overseas and then took a job in a Level 1 Trauma Intensive Care Unit. She loved the fast-paced environment and adrenaline surges that came with it.
 
However, her body didn’t.
 
Taylor became mysteriously sick with seemingly unrelated symptoms that wouldn’t go away.
 
This began a year of procedures, medications and tests, but with no answers and no improvement. It was then that Taylor reluctantly agreed to meet with a functional medicine provider.
 
Her health – and life – were forever changed.
This began her passion for functional medicine and an alternative approach to healthcare. In 2013, Taylor made a career pivot into the field of functional medicine.
 
She had the opportunity to work as a nurse for Dr. Amy Myers, two-time New York Times best-selling author and MD from 2014-2017.
 
She has helped other world renown practitioners start and run their own functional medicine practices. Eventually, Taylor decided to open up her own practice. Her education and experiences equipped her with extensive knowledge in health, nutrition, genetics, lifestyle and personalized protocols.
 
Fast forward to September 2022, Taylor’s world was turned upside down when she was given the diagnosis of a brain tumor.
 
She was gifted a full body preventative scan. She had no symptoms, thankfully and was able to shrink the tumor in half before surgery using her lifestyle and integrative treatments. On February 1, 2023, she underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor.
 
She is currently cancer-free and continues to be on a journey to complete healing using an integrative oncology approach.

Through it all, Taylor’s passion for supporting others in their own journey to optimal health and wellness has not waned. She loves to educate, equip and empower others through her blog, Instagram and Get Your Gut Right program.

Kelli Lawrence

Kelli Lawrence is the Women's Minister at First Baptist Church Grapevine, where she is passionate about helping women grow in their relationship with Christ and confidently embrace God's unique calling on their lives. Through biblical teaching, discipleship, and authentic community, she encourages women to discover their purpose and live faithfully in the plans God has for them.

Kelli has been married to her husband for 37 years and treasures her family. Together they have three adult children and are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren, who bring them great joy.

Dr. Miriam Torres

Dr. Torres is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who has spent over 20 years walking alongside women through every season of life. A proud Dallas native, she was raised in this community, attended Texas Woman’s University, earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Wayne State/Hutzel Hospital in Detroit. She had planned to come home — because this is where her heart is.

After the birth of her five children, Dr. Torres shifted her focus exclusively to gynecologic and wellness care for women. What she found troubled her. Patient after patient came in feeling depleted — weight gain they couldn’t explain, fatigue that sleep didn’t fix, hot flashes, mood swings, vanishing libido, a sense that something was simply off. Traditional medicine offered limited answers. That wasn’t good enough for Dr. Torres.

So she went looking for more.
That search led her to Functional Medicine — an approach that looks beyond symptoms to uncover root causes. She pursued that knowledge all the way to certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine, one of the most respected credentialing bodies in the field. It gave her the tools to finally answer the questions her patients had been carrying for years. Today, at Serenity Gynecology & Functional Medicine, she blends the best of both worlds: the precision of traditional gynecology and the depth of functional care.
